Since its founding, MI has earned and continues to uphold its reputation as the industry leader in providing professional handscoring services for essays and open-ended exams. Over the years, MI has been highly competitive in successfully winning and retaining many contracts with state and local departments of education, other educational agencies, and private businesses. MI has performed test development and/or scoring services for more than 25 state departments of education and provided supplemental support and services for many corporate clients.

Locations

MI’s operational headquarters are located in three historic buildings within a two-block radius of downtown Durham, NC. The company’s day-to-day operations in Durham include corporate administration, scanning, scoring, software products, and printing services, as well as research, test development, and information technology. In addition to its headquarters, MI operates 12 satellite scoring centers in strategic locations across the U.S. to better serve the clients’ logistical needs. Through its partnership with West Chester Institute and MI Evaluation Services, MI also offers program research and evaluation services at its Albany and White Plains, NY, locations.
