Conference Facilitation
MI staff can provide conference and meeting facilitation as well as logistical support for group events (e.g., registration, hotel/food). We also can facilitate best practices sharing within districts, regions, or networks.
Curriculum Audits
Working hand in hand with school and district leaders, MI has the tools to conduct comprehensive curriculum audits. Our professional team is trained to gather data from all stakeholders, and determine if what is taught in the classroom is consistent with state standards and assessment systems, and meets the unique needs of students. Our detailed examination of the curriculum implementation process will ensure that effective instructional practices and management systems are in place. Through strategic and collaborative discussions we will assist district leadership in developing a research-based action plan for continuous curriculum improvement.
Professional Development Workshops
MI consultants are experienced educators and staff developers who understand that professional development must be customized to meet the needs of participants and support their school improvement efforts. Research Information Services
Customized searches for research-based informationMI researchers will respond to individual requests for research-based information by sending clients (educators) links to the latest publications, tools, and other resources, typically with a one-week turnaround. We respond to requests from superintendents, principals, other administrators, and teachers to guide local decision making on programs, strategies, processes, policies, and procedures.
Research summaries for multiple audiencesMI researchers develop reader-friendly research summaries on timely topics after a comprehensive review of the literature. We translate complex research studies into useful information for practitioners and other audiences.
Research GramsResearch Grams contain hotlinks to research strategies and programs identified through our continuous review of the literature and online databases. The Research Grams are customized for topics of interest to the school district and may focus in depth on one topic only or present one to two articles each for up to four topics. Research Grams are disseminated solely via email.
