MI’s projects are accomplished in scoring centers by hundreds of Reader/Evaluators who are trained to score constructed response test items in English Language Arts, mathematics, science, and other areas. This is temporary, project-by-project work, concentrating from March to June.
We conduct paid training at the beginning of each project. Readers must be able to accept and apply the required scoring criteria and maintain consistent and reliable scoring throughout each project. They also must be willing to operate in a repetitive task situation and maintain confidentiality and project security.
Note: work from home (remote) is available on a limited basis for readers who are not within driving distance of a scoring center.
- Proof of a bachelor's degree (any field) from an accredited college or university or an equivalent foreign degree verified by an educational equivalency agency recognized by NACES
- Completion of a satisfactory writing sample
- Completion of a successful interview
- Professional references
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
Readers are hired on a temporary basis, by project, but are expected to work five days per week, Monday through Friday, for the duration of the project. Attendance during training is mandatory and regular attendance throughout the project is required.
