Math Content Specialist

Pay Range: $57,000 - $67,000

Location: Remote, On site, or Hybrid

Measurement Incorporated seeks a Math Content Specialist to implement plans to develop and field test high-quality Mathematics items aligned to client standards and specifications. Responsibilities for a Math Content Specialist include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop and review Math items and performance tasks including multiple-choice, technology-enhanced, and constructed response items, using multiple platforms and item banking systems.

  • Use best practices in Math development, including following guidelines to ensure accessibility and fairness.

  • Prepare approved items for inclusion in field tests and collaborate with psychometricians and editors to construct test forms.

  • Collaborate with client staff to facilitate ongoing client and educator review of test development.

  • Train and provide feedback to test item writers.

  • Follow schedules and work plans to meet deadlines with the highest professional levels of quality and accuracy.

  • Prepare and present professional development activities to clients related to test and item development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics Education, or Mathematics; Master’s degree preferred

  • Minimum of one year’s experience in assessment development

  • Ability to develop high-quality Math assessment materials for grades 9-12 required; flexibility to develop materials at middle and elementary grades preferred

  • Mastery of the Common Core or other State Standards for Mathematics

  • Experience working in Microsoft Office and online item development or item banking systems

  • High school Math teaching experience preferred

This is a full-time position and eligible for benefits including paid holidays, paid time off, health insurance, profit sharing, and ESOP.
