Reader / Evaluator
Within the field of performance assessment scoring, MI has distinguished itself by relying on an extensive and disciplined approach to training and monitoring a carefully selected workforce of qualified readers that is unparalleled in the industry. Due to the seasonal nature of scoring, MI hires and offers paid training to thousands of seasonal, highly skilled and well-educated employees to score tests on a project-by-project basis. Readers/evaluators are required to maintain strict guidelines for accuracy and productivity. If you have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, you may be qualified to join our temporary staff as a reader/evaluator.
Job Description
Readers/Evaluators score student responses to English language arts, mathematics, science, and other test items. They are hired on a temporary, project-by-project basis; most work occurs from March to June. All positions are remote/work from home.
Readers/Evaluators receive paid training at the beginning of each project. They must be able to accept and reliably apply the required scoring criteria throughout each project. They also must be willing to operate in a repetitive task situation and maintain confidentiality and project security.
Job Requirements and Expectations
- Proof of a bachelor’s degree (any field) from an accredited college or university or an equivalent foreign degree verified by an educational equivalency agency recognized by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States (completion of Form I-9)
